The dinosaur park

Back in 2010 my daughter lived close by Crystal Palace Park. This was where the building known as the Crystal Palace was moved after it had completed its stint at the 1851 Great Exhibition in Hyde Park. For many a year the Crystal Palace and its park were major attractions for visitors and other items were added, including the dinosaur park. This was commissioned in 1852 and unveiled in 1854 – the first dinosaur statues or models in the world. This was early days as far as dinosaur research was concerned and not all of the animals are accurate. But they are fantastic.

This one is hiding in the trees.

Some giant turtle like creatures have crept out of the water.

Strictly speaking this is not a dinosaur but some kind of mammal.

It’s a really good park for London
